Smile cafe + Meiji chocolates

Sorry for not being able to come up with a more creative title, but at least it is straight forward and tells you exactly what this post is about XD

There's this little dessert shop called Smile, which sells super pretty frozen yogurt and little dessert cups. As you can see...

They also had these Pocky-looking snacks. We bought a box (which contains one of each flavor) as a gift.

Even the individual tubes inside have their smiley face logo on them.

And last but not least, I tried their frozen yogurt.

Pretty, no?

Unfortunately, to be very honest, their food looks better than it tastes =(
I'd advice you to buy actual Pocky rather than the ones from this dessert shop... Except the chocolate explosion flavor; That one has candy that pops in your mouth and it is quite interesting, otherwise, the other flavors were all blehhh.

Same goes with the frozen yogurt. Is it pretty? Of course. Does it taste good? It's alright... I've had better.
Maybe my expectations were a little high because they made the products too nice looking lol.


On the way home, there was a sale going on at a snack shop...
They were selling huge boxes of Meiji's Meltykiss chocolates for only $40 HKD! So Jackie and I bought a box each.

However, once you open it up, there doesn't seem to be so many.

Damnit... I keep getting tricked because of the way things look. I should think twice five times before I decide to purchase anything =_=...

Godiva Halloween chocolates!

I walked by Godiva today and saw that their chocolate gems were 25% off!
After filling a bag with delicious Godiva gems, I saw some super cute chocolate truffles in the display case - the Halloween truffles =D

I couldn't resist and bought all four kinds they had.

I didn't even bother looking at what flavor they were... They looked so pretty I just had to have them lol

Because I didn't even pay attention to what flavor these pretty little truffles were supposed to be, I had to search them up online so I can tell you guys the flavors (and I can just eat them, too, of course, but I want to know their actual names too)

I have not tried them yet because I want to look at them some more *loser*, but I will update this post and tell you what they taste like once I do =]
UPDATE: I've tried them all! I think I got the names wrong so I'll have to update again with the proper names on here.

Ghost
This was like a white chocolate truffle with a milk chocolate shell.

Death by Chocolate Skull
So gold and shiny!
It's actually a dark chocolate truffle. Very rich chocolate taste.

Almond Chocolate Bat

Tasted kinda like almond and peanut butter and chocolate.

Caramel Apple Tombstone
White chocolate shell with a liquid green apple caramel filling inside.
The filling went together with the chocolate really well.

I can't believe how excited I get over chocolate...

Stuff... Sushi, chocolate, perfume, lipstick

Going to blog about two days in this entry, so that is why the randomness of this entry is even more random than some of my other random entries ^_^".

I was debating on whether to get the DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom perfume, or the Salvatore Ferragamo F for Fascinating Night perfume. Then, I realized there were no more DKNY in the size I wanted. They only the size I wanted in the ugly limited edition bottle, which I didn't want to get. So, I got the Ferragamo perfume.

Smells so fresh and sweet.

Less citrusy than the DKNY one... of course, both are two different scents.

Then, I finally went to get the NYX round lipsticks. I never knew Save On carried this brand until sometime last week. I was so excited and went to check it out XD.

TIME TRAVEL BACK to YESTERDAY!

My brother and I went to Tokyo Joe's to eat. It was only my second time there, but I had a very good impression of the place from the first time, so I decided to bring my brother there... Just to find out that he has already been there before lol.

Gomae

So much seeds! I loved the gomae here. Perfect proportion of sauce and spinach. And I loved how the sauce has a lot of sesame seeds so it's a bit crunchy.

Miso Soup

Unlimited free miso soup. What can be better than that? Unlimited green onions with the soup. LOL!

As you can see, I love green onions.

Maki & Sashimi

Salmon & tuna sashimi - which my brother said was good, but I did not try since I don't like raw fish.

Mango california rolls - I don't know why, I love mango in sushi.

Dynamite roll - I found this roll to be too "fat/wide". I didn't like how I couldn't eat it in one bite...

 

Chopped Scallop Roll

This was pretty good. But because I'm not a fan of raw things, I didn't eat much. Raw scallops are the only raw things I eat at sushi places because they are chopped up into little pieces. I hate the slimy texture of raw foods >_<.

Instead of eating dessert at the restaurant, I bought Godiva chocolate bars from the mall while waiting for my brother to get application forms. Hahaha.

I'm going to slack off one more day tomorrow, and I really have to start nerding up for my upcoming exam. I'd go crazy if I failed that course because I hate it so much. Retaking it would be such a pain in the ass.
