Photo Journal 3

Let me start this entry off with a super duper cute photo...

Kitty in a sink!
Haha. I guess Mitten decided to chill in the sink on a hot afternoon. We've had pretty warm weather the past week or so.

I've also been trying to do other things with my hair because I totally do not know to how style short short hair other than just blow-drying it and making it look like it's not stuck to my scalp.

Pigtails. Yes, that was the best I came up with.
Hey, at least it can save a bad hair day... I guess ;D

After 24 days of just work, school and doing assignments, I had this weekend free to do my own things!
The shopaholic in me told me it was time for some money-spending...

The next day, I had a nice lunch and more shopping (although I didn't buy anything this time) with Ricey.
Holy crap... was I happy to see her. I was desperately in need of social/friend interactions! TuT

We saw these crazy adorable Halloween costumes at Old Navy! I really want to see kids wear these (no pedo-ness intended)!

After doing this photo journal, I realize how much of a no-life I have been since school started. I have not been anywhere except for school, work, and some occasional other places on the way if I have errands to do. I honestly cannot wait for this term to be over.. but I'm still in the first month of the term D=

Photo Journal 2

First of all... This stupid top I had ordered finally arrived. The store (which I will not name, but if you recognize the top then you will know) has such bad communication between employees and customers (namely, me lol) that I had to wait a month for a top to arrive. And that was not the first time that particular store has caused me such inconvenience. I don't think I will be returning for a while...
On the bright side, though, I'm loving the top XD

A party night. Photos with my dear chch... and then I got thrown into the pool =_=.
I even took the extra effort to do my hair that night, but I guess I shouldn't have!

I finally organized my accessories! =D... well, most of them. I still have a bit left.

Also went to a water park!
Being the only girl there gave me the advantage of not having to carry those huge tube things up flights of stairs. Bwahahaha >=]

Omg yum yum yum cupcakes!
Sorry for the bad pic quality. I was too eager to eat them and I didn't bother making them look beautiful on my phone lol

Honey!! So much honey. And so many flavors of honey.
I bought so many of those honeystix... which is basically honey in plastic tubes. But I wanted to try one of each flavor so I bought quite a few lol

And I bought a new power skirt XD

On a blazing hot day, I heard an ice cream truck... so I ran outside like a kid and I bought this delicious treat =9

And lastly, I bought new hats for the summer... but it's nearing the end of August already. I should have bought them sooner so I could get more wear out of them.

A big hat haha

And this one... I still have not worn it out yet.

Deborah Lippmann polishes from Juicy

I am so excited!
I have always wanted to try out polishes from the Deborah Lippmann line. I got myself a set from Juicy Couture. They sell it in a set of 3 for $48, which means $16 for each bottle. That is not bad, considering that buying single bottles of these polishes range from $16 - $20 per bottle. When I purchased the set, Juicy was having a 30% off sale, so I feel that this set was a really good deal =D

Here's what the pretty package looks like:

The three colors (left to right):
Believe, Here Comes the Queen, Jewel in the Crown

And check out the caps of the nail polish bottles.
The tops look like rhinestones. The regular Deborah Lippmann polishes don't have these pretty caps... Juicy never fails at making their products glamorous haha.

Now, the most important part; the actual polishes.
I tested out the polishes on some plastic nails:

From left to right:
Believe, Here Comes the Queen, Jewel in the Crown

Here's a closer picture of Here Comes the Queen.
The glitter/sparkles in the polish are not uniformly shaped like most other glitter polishes I have. The glitters in this polish are all different shapes and different sizes.

I decided to put a coat of that glitter on top of the other two colors.
Excuse the two dents on the left nail... I accidentally dug my nails into it before it dried.

I have not tried the polishes on my real nails yet, so I don't know if they are durable, but the application seems quite smooth from applying the polishes on the plastic nails.
I love the glitter effect that Here Comes the Queen gives... Can't wait to try these out =D (I have to wait for my chipped and cracked nails to grow out first, though.)

A mini recap

I haven't been talking about my little adventures (not really adventures) for a while... so here's a mini recap of some of the things I did during the past week.

First... a wonderful night of chocolate fondue with some of the most awesome girls in the world =]
Stupidly enough... I did not get a picture of the fondue pots we dipped the food into lol

I also went to check out the Gingerbread lane display at the Hyatt hotel.
It was like gingerbread houses heaven... there were so many of them.

They even decorated the inside of the gingerbread houses... Crazy!

A gingerbread light-house!
With water and everything. Amazing.

This one here blew me away...
It was so pretty. I wish I could shrink and walk inside. They need to build a real thing that looks like this.
This would be the most romantic place to have your date on Christmas Eve XD

In comparison to the above pictures of pretty gingerbread houses, I feel like the malls here need to step it up with their decorations...

Look... Ch and I took a picture with these decorations in a mall here... Look how lame they look. And this was the best decorated part out of the entire mall. The other parts had scary-looking teddy bears and ugly reindeers =(

After shopping around for days for Christmas gifts for other people... It is always nice to get something for yourself, don't you think? XD

Look at my e.l.f products haul.
I cannot wait to try out all these products lol!

No, that was not enough for me... I also got myself an eyeshadow palette.

I already have an 88-palette with nude colors, so I decided to get this one with all the sharp colors.
Oooooh so colorful. I wanna try all the shades all at once the minute I opened this up... but that wouldn't look very attractive so I must be patient >_<

And also my first YSL lipstick <3
I am SUPER loving this lipstick! It is so pigmented and so creamy.

Something aside from make up...
I saw Lindt chocolate on sale. Omfg must get! Lol

And lastly...
I am going to end this post with something I saw at a store that I found very creepy.

Look at these dolls O_O.

They freak me out.
They were so creepy that I just had to take a picture of them to show you guys. How in the right mind would buy these dolls for their kids? If I had these creepy things in my room, I'd get nightmares.

Christmas gifting...?

*ad

Wow... last time I checked, Christmas still seems like weeks away. Now, it's like I am rushing to get my Christmas shopping done.

I have been going around shopping for gifts these past couple of days.
Here's my little stash so far!
I can't believe how much I have spent already. And no, I am not done my shopping yet, unfortunately.
How are you guys doing with your Christmas gift shopping?

I know sometimes it may be hard to think of a decent gift...
but maybe this following product can be a good gifting idea for moms, girl friends, or guy friends who like to look gorgeous.

What product am I talking about?
It's called the Catalytic Skin Tone Illuminator from Luminaze.

I have not tried this product yet, but I have read the descriptions and it seems like the closest product I have used to this is DiorSnow White Reveal Essence, which was around the same price.

This product claims to make your skin better in 7 days and that it is safe to use for sensitive skin, and it is supposed to remove dark spots. The product contains an enzyme that was harvested from a certain type of mushroom that surrounded trees. The area of the tree where these mushrooms grew had lost color... and that's how they got the idea of using this enzyme to help remove the ugly dark spots from our skin. However, if you are trying to use this to get rid of freckles, the site says it will not work. I wonder if it will work on my acne scars though haha.

Since this product is available in Nordstrom (in US) and the Bay (in Canada), I may go give it a try.
I bought a Clinique set that claims to also be effective in removing dark spots on the face for my mom as her Christmas present (I hope she does not read this because I haven't given the gift to her yet), but if I try this Luminaze product and feel that it may work better, I may go exchange it for the Luminaze product instead.

Good luck with your Christmas shopping! <3

Aeropostale clothing for girls

*Ad

Hello, my lovelies... Guess what?
Aeropostale is having a huge sale right now. Some of their pieces are even 60 - 70% off - both online (here) and in stores!
Their selection of clothing for girls actually have a smaller fit than other stores I know of. In fact, their XS sizing is almost perfect for me - it's just that the sleeves can be longer than desired on me.

To show you guys how their clothes fit on a petite person like me, I took some photos:

I tried to take three pieces of clothing with different fit so you guys can get an idea of how the pieces fit. That's why I took the blue sweater (which is a casual, not-too-fitted shape) and then the knitted cardigan (a fitted shape in a thicker material) and lastly, the long sleeve top (which is a thin, fitted material).

I think because Aeropostale's style is aimed at a younger age, the fitting is smaller.
Their style is very casual and girl-next-door. This is a great chance if you want to stock up on casual, comfy clothing since the prices are super duper discounted.

Hope this post was helpful =D

P.S.
I am hoping to finish re-editing the photos of my new nails and I should post a new tutorial soon.
My desktop is still unwilling to cooperate with me =(

Dear david's graduation!

Note: Started a new blog just to post my shopping "adventures" so this blog is not spammed with shopping entries. Visit blog here.
****************************************************************

It was my dearest David's graduation!!
Jackie and I were all ready to go to his convocation but things did not go as smoothly as planned.
It started to rain like dog shit outside and became extremely windy.

We left the house a little late and to make things better... there was a road block for a reason not known to us. The whole bridge was blocked off and none of the cars could go on. There was a huge traffic jam because of that.
As if the traffic jam wasn't bad enough, the bridge that was blocked off was actually the route we needed to take =(

Nothing better than to take pictures to pass the time in a traffic jam, am I not right? Haha.

We got him these super colorful pretty flowers <3

The weather was horrid outside, but at least it was good lighting for camwhoring.
These camwhoring pics came out so nice because of the blur from the car moving and the nice lighting! Haha!

Along with the flowers, we also got him a Mario mushroom lol
It is hiding among the flowers (we are so lame).

We took pics inside the house because the weather was still so ugly outside. And none of us wanted to risk having our hair messed up.

Wish we took more pictures =(
I hate rainy weather.

On the other hand though, I am so happy for David! I know he's worked really hard and put in a lot of hard work and effort studying. I can't wait til I am free from school.

Because he had to eat dinner with his family, I went shopping with Ching.
I spent a lot... but when I got home, we found out that Black Friday sales were happening the next day and that the sales would only last one day... so we went for a round two shopping spree lol.

One of the first things we bought...
Godiva chocolates. Yummy <3

I had a lot of fun shopping with Ching ^_^
I don't want to make this blog entry super long with my shopping spree blah blah, so you can see my shopping log blog. (Yes, I actually started a new blog for my shopping log purposes haha.)

Hope you guys had some good finds during Black friday sales too!

Forever 21 earrings

I have no idea what has gotten into me lately...
I know I have assignment due, but instead of working on them, I can procrastinating by going on shopping sprees. Yes, that is plural. I am thinking about starting a new blog to use as my shopping log... because I like to take pictures of things I try on and then come home and think about whether or not I should buy them.

Well... here is one part of my procrastination shopping splurge; earrings from Forever 21.
I was actually going to buy more, but with other items I bought that day, the total cost kinda scared me so I eliminated some away lol.

These cupcake earrings are so adorable! They also come in silver with colorful stones.

I  thought this was cute and not too over-the-top. Easy to match with many things =]

I fell in love with the blue and vintage-like look of these earrings.

So similar to the blue ones above, but these are smaller. They also have a very classic vintage look. These work so well with many things I have in my wardrobe.

I'm not too fond of the pair of gold roses in the middle, but I love the top and bottom pairs XD
Because I don't want to bore you guys with other things I bought (or have tried on but thinking about buying), I will probably post about them if I do start a new blog to keep track of my spendings...

Check out below to see some of their earrings.
Some of their earrings are only $1.50... What?? O_o

Oh. Black Friday is here. I guess the spending doesn't stop there...

Have you guys gone on any shopping sprees yet?
